MARCIN MIOTK – alpinist, athlete, member of polish national mountaineering team.

 

Born in 1973.

 

In 2005 Marcin became the first Pole to climb Mount Everest without oxygen in a solo, unsupported summit push, which was recognized in Poland by prestigious Kolosy award and given a special mention in the international ExplorersWeb Award.

In the Himalaya he also scaled Shisha Pangma Middle (8013 m) and Cho Oyu (8201 m) and took part in expeditions on Annapurna South Face (8091 m) and Nanda Devi East (7434 m).

 

In 2007 he completed the Snow Leopard program having climbed all 7000m peaks in the ex-Soviet Union including Chan Tengri (7010 m), Pobeda Peak (7439 m), Peak Korzhenevskaya (7105 m), Communism/Ismail Samani Peak (7495 m), Lenin/Avicenna Peak  (7134 m).
